Lisa Larson Seen and Unseen
Lisa Larson is a Swedish ceramist known for her simple, warm and inviting work in the form of animals and figures.
Born in Sweden in 1931, Lisa Larson worked for the Gustavsberg for many years, creating many products that are popular all over the world. After becoming a freelance designer in 1980, she continued to work extensively and enjoyed working in her own studio until her sad death in March this year.
The exhibition’s theme, ‘Seen and Unseen’, will shed light on a previously unknown aspect of Lisa Larson’s creative process. In addition to her well-known masterpieces, such as her enchanting animal series, the exhibition presents some 250 pieces, including works from her student days, unique pieces that she continued to produce alongside her products, works in different materials such as glass, and works by her husband, the painter Gunnar Larson, who was a mutual influence on her work. Please come and discover the “unseen” world of ceramic artist Lisa Larson.
